The Blue Devils travel to Blacksburg, Virginia this Saturday, Oct. 28, at Lane Stadium, to play Virginia Polytechnic Institute. The game, which will kick off at 7:20 p.m., can be seen on the ACC Network.
* Virginia Tech (6-1, 2-1 ACC) is coming off a 59-7 win over North Carolina (10/21), while Duke (4-4, 1-4 ACC) suffered a 24-17 loss vs. Pitt (10/21).
* VaTech is ranked No. 13 in both The AP Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll. Tech’s highest ranking of the season thus far has been No. 12.
* VaTech is 14-2 under head coach Justin Fuente against unranked opponents.

Bottom line is Duke has plenty of issues which have escalated as the season has unfolded. Moving the chains and controlling the ball has been a problem for the Blue Devils. That means execution, play calling, silly penalties, dropped passes, hurried throws, three and outs, missed assignments, you name it, etc.
On the other hand, Virginia Tech is moving up the polls and playing well. Look for a romp Saturday. My prediction?
