Food and Alcohol

I met up with a fat gal one night in Hotlanta. Saw her waddling across the floor after we made eye contact. She asked me what I was drinking and I asked her what she was eating.

Got married today (the quickie in the courthouse, not the big party in a couple weeks). Went to Mothers and Sons Trattoria for dinner with my folks tonight and I'm taking her to Yamazushi tomorrow. Probably the best 48 hours of food I'll be able to afford until I'm done with medical school.

Saw this late, but congrats. I got married in medical school as well. We skimped awhile but had some amazing food in NYC before residency started

Did you weigh the three of them before or after?
After.

In all seriousness, all the girls I've dated or hooked up with have been about the same size. Around 5'4 120-135. Not actually going out and looking for that but just happened to be that way. Never been with a really skinny or a big girl.

I think we're going to do a Vegas wedding. Anyone ever done it? Have to wait a little bit as I'm going back to the SP in January and she doesn't graduate until May but we're thinking next fall.

The Key Lime gose is great, but had to go to Westbrook to get it. The little they sell outside of the brewery sells out quickly. They had some at Brier Creek Beer Garden in Raleigh this summer, but couldn't even find it in any of the Charleston shops by mid-August.

It was crazy how fast it would go. Some of the bottle shops that had it would only allow you to get 2 cans per tab because of demand. My sister in law is up from Charleston this weekend and I had her go by Westbrook to get me some but since it's seasonal they didn't have any.

So, I've noticed a huge uptick in the Key Lime Gose this year. I bought a ton of it in the spring figuring it would run out again, but I am still seeing it on the shelf (saw it at Sam's Bottle Shop the other day). I went to Westbrook in August and they opened a giant new facility right next door to the original one and they have increased production significantly.

I have seen the same thing. I was at Westbrook back in July and bought 4 4 packs. My wife went by Fermental, bottle shop here in Wilmington, last week and there was a ton of it.

World Beer Festival Durham this Saturday. Very excited.

When I lived in Raleigh I attended that every year. In fact I remember the very first one they held in Durham at the old Bulls ball park. Apparently they are having craft beer area at the NC State Fair this year.

Wooden Robot and The Unknown get thumbs up. Southend in general pretty awesome.

I recently moved from Wilmington to Durham and I would love to get some restaurant recommendation's from y'all. Mostly looking for casual, inexpensive, but decent places to eat. Essentially for when my girlfriend and I don't feel like cooking and just want something easy and good. We live near ninth street so anything near there is a bonus.

Could also use some recommendation's for fancy restaurants for special occasions.
