There are bound to be marketable players in the new generation. I think it's better that it's happening now than a few years ago when Giannis was being touted as the "new face of the league." Guys like Ant, Hali, Luka, and Wemby are all more marketable than Giannis.

I'm going to jizz in my pants if Miami, Philly, and Milwaukee all get knocked out in the 1st round.

I don't hate any teams in the Western side of the bracket to that level. That's probably just due to not having the equivalent of a Boston to root for in the West. I've been watching Boston play those three East teams for half a decade.

And if it’s an Achilles for Dame, he won’t be back next year, either.

I hold no ill will to Kevin Durant, but he's made a ton of legacy-destroying moves in the last eight years. This Brooklyn situation was an unqualified success compared to the Suns. Their franchise is utterly fucked. It might be worse than the Nets situation in the early 2010s. The only reason I'm not ready to say that is that Booker and Durant will still have a lot of value on the trade market.

Phoenix underachieved but this Minnesota team might have found something, Or they’re clicking at the right time. I did not expect this. They look every bit as dominant as when they were the one seed. Minny bigs have bothered Jokic more than any other team, and if McDaniels can put the clamps on Murray, I can see them pulling off the upset. Edwards playing this well is also a huge boon

I still don't trust their offense to hold up compared to Denver's. It's been an issue all season, and I think it might be a problem again when they're facing off against a team that can put up 5-minute stretches in crunchtime of 2 ppp.

Orlando needs to trade for Grayson Allen. Fuck this Klay Thompson nonsense. Grayson is younger, cheaper, and a better defender at this point.

Beal was so bad tonight. I can't believe the Suns gave up assets to take on this poor fitting albatross. He looked completely healthy and still absolutely sucked.

As for Durant, if he was to leave OKC, and I still don’t blame him after they traded Harden and saddled him with Westbrook, he should have just gone to Boston when they were rolling out the free agency carpet. Brooklyn picks would have still fetched Tatum and Brown, and they would have been able to sign another max player. Those pieces win a title or two by now and it’s MUCH more respected as he’s seen as the unquestioned best player

That was the Wolves first series win since 2004, when they made the Western finals with KG. Longest droughts in the NBA now:

-Hornets (2002, lol)
-Kings (2004)
-Pistons (2008)
-Magic (2010, may end this year)

For Boston's sake, Minnesota beating Denver would be great. If Boston can't win a title with a path of Miami, Orlando, NY, and Minnesota, then they're never going to win one and should just blow it up. Denver is really the only team it's acceptable for them to lose to.

So the Wizards have won a few series this century. But their streak of not making it out of the 2nd round is pretty incredible. It's been since 1979.

The Hornets have never made it out of the 2nd round. Franchise started in 1988 and was dormant for two years. Had their chance in 2001 but choked a 3-2 series lead to Milwaukee in r2.
