Better than 6 SEC teams.

Fightin' Blue Hens big man Jamelle Hagins

Delaware is 2-5, having played the 12th strongest schedule.

Notable results:
Won at Virginia by 6.
Lost to Kansas State on a neutral court by 3.
Lost at Temple by 5.

Kenpom.com rankings:
#104 overall
#81 offense
#171 defense
#118 tempo

Notable stat rankings:
#42 ft%
#53 off reb%
#60 block%
#241 3pt%
#312 assist/turnover

Key players:
Jamelle Hagins: 6'9" 240, senior, 125 rating, 20% usage, 33% def reb, 16% off reb, 7.1% block, 3 fouls/40, 90% ft
Devon Saddler: 6'2" 205, junior, 106 rating, 33% usage (nothing else notable; a typical midmajor lead guard)

Hagins will be one of the best big men Duke faces this season. Delaware is bad at a lot of things, but they are good at offensive rebounding, so this is a good game for Duke to work on defensive rebounding.

Looks like Delaware was the only offer for Hagins out of HS.

In raw numbers, he's putting up 13 and 13 on 64% fg, 90% ft in 32 min. This is against the 14th strongest defensive schedule in the country so far.

His teammate Saddler chucking shots will be the best defense against him.

The time out when we go down 11-4 early in the first half is going to be epic.

If we're going to pick a dangerous team to play right after a series of games like that, at least we chose one that doesn't shoot the 3.

Now everyone is crazy high on this Duke team.

Went from being an afterthought, to the team everyone is talking about.

To be fair, we have run the table in pretty impressive fashion against the toughest non con schedule that I can ever remember.

Went to a dinner party last night. One of the people there went to State, one went to UNC. Both of them offered up how hard they thought Duke's OOC schedule was and how impressed they were.

Line was up to Duke -20.5 about an hour ago. Curry news brought it down 1 point to Duke -19.5. So Curry is worth 1 point over the replacement minutes by Thornton/Jefferson/Murphy. That seems right.

I don't think we lose, but I don't think we cover that. Even when Curry is ineffective, he's always a threat to score. Our offense is partially built around that. Those other three guys, not so much.

Delaware comes in a little more battle-tested than Duke, having played Virginia, Kansas State, and Pittsburgh.

If you remember, he rolled the ankle in the last game. Either way, good to get some rest.

So this game is blacked out on ESPN3 in NC?
