Duke Football Alumni

I think we need this thread now. We have a first rounder for the first time since 1987. Tomlinson is pretty much the best possible representative of Duke.

Latina needs that raise though.

Dave Brown doesn't count as a first-rounder?

Wasn't the NFL Draft, only the supplemental

I know he was a supplemental pick. I just figured that since it was awarded to the Giants at the end of the first round, it would've counted as that.

There was a separate supplemental draft back then.

There were 2 picks in the 1992 supplemental draft:

Round 1 Dave Brown
Round 2 Darren Mickel

That draft was held in July 2012, well after the regular draft

So, because the Giants used the 1st supplemental pick on Brown, they lost their #1 pick the next year. Here are the rules:

The main deal is that Dave Brown was a 1st round pick in the supplemental draft, not a supplemental pick at the end of the 1st round of the main draft.

Brown and Mickel must've had one hell of a conditioning regimen to stay in shape, given the supplemental draft 20 years after the original regular draft for that season. :P

Had guessed that Crowder would be a late 4th/early 5th pick. Think that'll still hold tomorrow.

Could be a solid holder on fake field goals.

Helton to the Jets.

2 drafted, 5 signing as UDFA. That's got to be a record for any one season, right?

As some coach in another sport said, 8 is enough, right?
