Duke had arguably the best overall tournament resume this decade, finishing tied for the most national titles with Villanova and UConn - whose overall resumes pale in comparison to ours - and winning the second most NCAAT games behind Kentucky. The Wildcats also finished with the most Final Fours. Thank God for UConn stopping them in 2011 and 2014 and Wisconsin in 2015. They definitely should have have won more than one title.
UNC also had a successful decade, but less so than 2000-2009, so we probably shouldn't complain too much. Both of Louisville's FF trips and their title were vacated, so they're not worth discussing, nor is UVA, who had the luckiest tournament run any of us will likely see in our lifetimes.
MSU made the second most Final Fours this decade, with three, so Izzo deserves to be called the Master of March, but he is the Fool of April, failing to win a single FF game in three appearances. I'd argue Kansas fared better in the NCAAT overall, winning more games and reaching the title game in 2012.
The biggest takeaway for me is that even with the Lehigh and Mercer disasters, and failing to make a single FF in the last three years with stacked teams, Duke still had a good run in the NCAAT over the last 10 years. I think we'd all feel much better about it had even one of the 2017-19 teams reached the FF, or had UNC failed to win the title, but it was a successful decade overall.
