Looking back, UK got really unlucky with the seeding. Barttrovik had St Peter's as the 56th best team in the country over the last 30 days (UK #34). We would have probably lost last night too with their shooting.

CS-Fullerton has actually been worse overall the last month (#173) than their overall season performance. One point victory in their conference tourney final just to make the tournament. Their primary strength playing right into our supposed strength off keeping teams of the FT line w/o fouling.

Not impossible we go on a self-inflicted 6 min scoring drought but this a traditional 16 seed in a 15 seed's body as it stands. This would not just be our worse loss subjectively, but probably by most objective metrics too, regular or post-season

Both MSU and Davidson shoot well and have high A/made FG ratios. The current defense will get shredded against either of those.

CSU Fullerton really is a different style. You could probably zone them. But you sure as fuck can’t zone Davidson or MSU so best to roll this new piece of shit out today and give it a run.

If the new defense actually exists and it’s better, there is an argument for not showing all of it today to Davidson or MSU. But we’re not really in a place to risk losing to a 15 seed.

There is no changed defense, it's BS and we all know it.

Duke will win this game because CSF is just not good enough to pull it off, but will bow out in the next game regardless.
Note I have not watched a single full Duke game this year, just some highlights and reviewed the box scores.

In all seriousness, if extended pressure ever works for us, it's usually against teams like this, that we should be able to bully and not get punished too badly if they do spread us out and get open shots sometimes. It's the next game where it should all blow up in our faces.
