If Calipari can get Lee, then I think he would prefer to have Wiggins come in the year after instead of that same year. Then he gets a title with Harrisons, Young, Randle, Lee and probably Wiltjer, plus the auto-title the following year with Wiggins.

Maybe Duke will become likable again thanks to Cal. K's ragtag bunch of four-year, academically oriented players could start to seem more like the appealing underdog again after a few years of UK's semi-pro teams dominating.

As a side note, I'm having an increasingly difficult time separating my righteous indignation from my jealousy re: UK and their recruiting these days. I think I'm mainly just jealous at this point.

R2C agrees. We will all be jealous unless he gets caught. Unfortunately, he's created a perpetual motion machine to the point where he doesn't need to cheat. It's like UMass and Memphis were Cal using training wheels and UK he let was able to let the bike go.

Yeah, I don't see this cycle ending any time soon. He doesn't have to cheat at all anymore, and I don't blame the recruits for a second. Do I wish they came to Duke? Yes. But do I understand why they'd go to UK, with their pick of girls at a big state school, classes they barely have to attend, the best housing a college student could ask for, and an almost certainty that they'll get drafted after 1 year. I mean seriously I love going here, but I fully understand the appeal of UK from a HS recruit's perspective.

Then why pay Davis? Pretty sure Noel was pay to play as well. You can't put the cat back in the bag. If Cal doesn't keep the cash flowing, the kids that want to get paid will just go to...State?
