It was amazing too. Nebraska's "defense" kept trying flying shoulder blocks to tackle Melvin Gordon instead of trying to wrap him up. I texted a few friends shortly into the second quarter that I thought he was going to break the record before the end of the 3rd quarter at the rate he was going. Sure enough, last play of the quarter, he did it. It was an amazing achievement of defensive futility.
I can only hope that finally the Bo Pelini experiment is over, it's been 3 years too long. Now we'll get to compete with Florida and Michigan for a new coach - yay. Scott Frost will probably be hired since he's a former Nebraska quarterback and the Offensive Coordinator at Oregon. It won't be the best coach available, it'll be "family". I can only hope that when K retires, he chooses Brad Stevens so that Duke basketball will not be tied solely towards former Duke players as a head coach, it's the worst strategy to limit candidates.
No national title for Duke next season. No playing time for Miller, who will probably be the 2nd best QB in college football, behind JT Barrett. This is such a bad decision that Miller will probably change his mind, though.
