Duke Recruiting General Discussion

It was hard for me to get past Brea not ever consistently starting for Dayton in four years, especially given that the offense revolved around Da'Ron Holmes (and thus you would think you'd want shooters around him). Going to tell myself that must mean he isn't actually that great of a net-sum player.

Every video of him that I saw was almost nothing but catch and shoot 3s. I kinda think that's all he's good at.

Being as I am the only Seton Hall fan on this board...

Richmond is an excellent player. He scores, creates for others, and rebounds at a high level. Some people question his 'motor' at times. However, it's just the way he moves/plays. Certain guys never look like they're giving maximum effort even when they are, he's one of those. He averaged 16ppg, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists this season as the point guard- he is 6'6 and strong. Seton Hall won the NIT, they should've made the NCAAT. He's not a good 3pt shooter, however his form improved significantly this past season, although the release is still slow. He shot 80.7% from the FT line this year on 161 attempts. I think he is an NBA player in every single way except for 3pt shooting and elite athleticism. He makes up for the lack of the elite athleticism in college by being 6'6 at PG and strong.

He has usage and works in PnR. I don't really understand this fit for Duke as he would overlap with Proctor. Richmond is a starter, period, and he will be paid like one. If he comes in I'm assuming Foster comes off the bench as a super 6th man. Maybe this is the plan along and Scheyer and co are trying to find another elite guard, but trying to time it to May 1st so that Foster cannot transfer. This is smart, even if shady. Do whatever it takes to build the strongest juggernaut possible for Flagg.

With all of that said, the initial rumor was Richmond going to St. John's for north of $1 million, and that was confirmed today by their big NIL at the tracks for the Kentucky derby.

You don't want a player who will undoubtedly get 4-5 triple doubles next season???

Maybe Fran’s mind is starting to go?

I don’t get the 4-5 triple doubles point. Who in college gets 4-5 triple doubles in a season? Did it happen more than a handful of times in the entire country last season?

I feel like the only candidates are point guards with fluke rebounding games or centers with crazy shot blocking matchups.
