Yankees' best case scenario with respect to their rotation is throwing Sabathia on 3 days rest in Game 3 vs Verlander and then having Sabathia available on normal rest in Game 7. Sabathia cannot pitch twice on normal rest in the ALCS. This is only because the Yankees randomly began their division series one day later than the Tigers/A's.
 
Fun fact: Kate Upton is related to the McClendon's who have given so much money to Duke. Aubrey's son is a sophomore and apparently is trying to get her to come to one of his fraternity's parties this year. Pretty sweet...but I'm not sure how I'd feel if the hottest woman in America was my cousin.

Fun fact: Kate Upton and I were born in the same city. I went to school with her cousin. Her grandfather is the founder of Whirlpool and her uncle is my State Representitive.

I agree about the new playoff structure being stupid. That needs to be fixed ASAP. At the VERY least, should be best 2 out of 3. That, however, isn't the Cardinals fault. The Cardinals got in, they took care of business IN Atlanta, and they're bout the take care of business in Washington. They're playing arguably the best baseball of any team in the playoffs at the moment.

Agree about the Cards. Still frustrated with them though for almost entirely pro-Braves reasons. And aside from such reasons, I'm just against teams with relatively-poor regular season records advancing in the playoffs (not saying they don't play well in the playoffs and earn the right to advance).

In this year's case it's ridiculous that such a relatively-poor regular season team got a single-elimination shot at a team that much-more took care of business in the regular season. For next year I hope they make the wildcard "round" at least a 3 game series and/or add another playoff team or two (if they really want to expand) and have a full round of wildcards while giving the division winners a buy.

In either case, however, IMO, the wildcard round should be something like a best out of 3 game series that starts the day immediately after the end of the regular season and should take place over 2 days (i.e., with possible game 3s being the second half of a double-header on the 2nd day). Then the Division Series should start the following day...thus actually giving an advantage to the division winners (e.g., among other things, the wildcard teams having used up some of their good pitchers). IMO, this would make the regular season count much more because the division winners (or at least the top 2 division winners) would actually have a playoff advantage.

Untradeable unless the Yanks eat 85% of it. Relationship could be ruined by this, too. Granderson has looked much worse during these playoffs and barely broke the Mendoza line this year. I guess if he connects, it could go out, but Arod can't be liking this.
