Astronautalis is coming to Cat's Craddle October 6th. Very excited about that, I missed him when I lived in Nashville a few years back.

Ooooo I might try to go to that

Going to see Guided by Voices and Surfer Blood at Cat's Craddle on 11/12. Thanks for the rec, Farmer. Being able to see Surfer Blood again will be a very nice bonus.

Lot of potentially awesome albums coming out this Sept. I think this song will become a massive hit in indie-pop circle. Within a year I expect to hate it due to hearing it every day at Starbucks.

Local Natives is great. Ceilings is one of my favorite songs and overall both albums they've put out have been great. I'm hoping I can work something out to see them in Charlotte because both times I've seen them they've been fantastic live.

It seems appropriate to do a best and most important albums of 1996, being that Farmer hasn't done it and that it was twenty years ago.

I don't listen to enough rap to comment on most its quality or cultural importance.

Oh God, The The. The number of times I've danced to Infected must number in the thousands.

All the duke-forum.com posters who play music need to form a band. So far I have farmer on guitar, Rome on bass and physics on drums.

The band will be called 'basket of deplorables '

Practices are going to be difficult. I guess Farmer lucks out since he's sort of halfway in between where Physics and I live.

Actually, I was dreaming last night that I had started a new band. I really miss it.

We're getting the band together!!! I think I could play with you guys just looking at the type of music y'all post on here.

I'm a bass player too, and rome is actually good so maybe I could sing badly

I will simply follow you around wherever you play and act like your biggest fan while attempting to turn each of you upon the others.

I don't know that I am good at this point in my life. I haven't even owned a bass for six years.

Saw some decent bands yesterday: New Pornographers, Hold Steady, Jimmy Eat World + Death Cab for Cutie.

I really dug the Jimmy Eat World show. They got soul.
