Recruiting

Cut is recruiting speed,

This is what like about him-

“It doesn’t matter where I play,″ Waters said. “Where ever they need me, I’ll play. I’m just happy for the opportunity to play for such a good program and school″

This kid runs a 4.54- 40

Made 75 catches for 976 yards and 9 TDs as a junior.

We lead on his CB, FWIW.

Also just made JR Walker's top 5, but he seems like a NC State lock.

Meanwhile OL Jacob Monk, who was the first commitment in the class, is up to 4 stars on 247.

UNC is apparently still coming hard after Donovan Greene, who also picked up a Tennessee offer. We'll have to play a lot of defense getting these guys over the line but if we can hold on it'll be a great class. A fast start would do wonders.

Jacob Monk, OG, Wendell (N.C.) Holders – A Duke commit, Monk Is one of the more athletic interior guys we’ve seen this spring but he’s also a physical, powerful dude in the trenches. He’s up to a four-star rating after film review.

Duke Blue Devils
Class Ranking: 19th

No, Mike Krzyzewski did not have too many five-stars and toss one to David Cutcliffe. The Blue Devils are simply killing it on the trail early in the process. Duke already holds a commitment from a pair of in-state four-star recruits (Donavon Greene and Zonovan Knight), which is pretty impressive considering the program’s only signed 12 four-star recruits in its history. The Blue Devils are doing a particularly strong job in North Carolina, where they hold commitments from three of the state’s top 20.

So far so good!

It was all too good to be true. Class melting away.

I would guess that either Cut is flat out telling people he’s retiring after his contract is up, so this class won’t graduate under him, or the recruits have some other reason to believe it.

Also picked up three defensive end commits in the past couple weeks: RJ Oben, who is pretty good and had been a priority, and two borderline three stars.

Tony Davis is also now a four-star on 247, but is picking up some big offers and it sounds like he might flip.
