The ACC

Checking out the standings again, seems like both of the remaining games are must win for Duke since GT is still in the Coastal "race," unless Miami declares itself ineligible, in which case only the GT game is must win.

With 2 or 3 ACC games left, the Duke University football team controls its own destiny in the conference. Win all 3 games and they're ACC champions.

Smart if they think they'll have a shot at a better bowl quality in the future. Unfortunate for players on this year's team who have possibly been playing under the assumption of working toward what was ultimately a nonexistent goal all season.

Pisses me off that we just shat the bed against GaTech. Win and we were playing in Charlotte. Everyone knew that Miami would self-impose. GAH CUT!

In 2010 Matt Wabby was a perfect 2-2 for 9 yds against NC State as a QB for Western Carolina. Anyone else remember that guy's parents spamming the TDD football board in like 2005-2006?

Ross Cockrell and Will Monday 1st team all-ACC
Conner Vernon and Walt Canty 2nd team all-ACC

The fact that Conner wasn't 1st team is criminal.

The fact that Jamison only made honorable mention is as well. But good to see us represented on the All-ACC teams. VaTech had 0 players.

APPARENTLY...

Jim Grobe from Wake is retiring. Comes outta nowhere.

I can't find anything about that, berto. This coming from insiders?

Was blowing up on the tweeters yesterday. There was some kind of player's meeting yesterday. If we don't hear anything in the next couple of days then it was just a false rumor. If something comes of it, BOW DOWN TO YOUR LORD FAUXSIDER!

The ACC released league matchups for next football season Friday. Actual dates for the games will be released in February.

Duke:

2013 ACC home games (not in chronological order): Georgia Tech, Miami, Pittsburgh and N.C. State

2013 ACC Road games (not in chronological order): North Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest

***Duke's nonconference slate, as it stands now: at Memphis, Navy, North Carolina Central, and one more TBD. Based on what I'm hearing, it should be against a winnable opponent. For the first time in several years, there won't be an Alabama or Stanford-type nonconference game.

We can do it again with that schedule

Bowl is there for the taking

Do we play VPI, Uva, and Wake on the road every year?
