Player Tyler Thornton

In honour of TT, I am wearing #3 in my Old Boys Basketball League this year. I will not let you down, TT (unlike last year, when I let down every other basketball player who has worn the number 19).
 
TT shows up in the DBP Top 5 plays. Will have the #1 spot next week after more late game heroics vs KU
 
Season: 4-7 3pt (57%), 8 assists, 2 turnovers.

That's great to go with the 4 starters. Let Dawkins on fire or Sulaimon come in when Ojeleye, Hairston or Plumlee also come in.

Over 6 fouls per 40 needs to be improved.

I think he finishes well over 40% from 3 and 2:1 ratio.
 
I couldn't agree more, SM. Let him start, bring in some firepower with the subs. I hope, but I don't believe, that Dre will end up being this deadly off the pine, so one of Sheed/Dre/Jones/Semi needs to be able to knock down triples off the bench, or at least penetrate for lay ups/fouls. Starting is really not that important, if Sheed/Dre/Jones/Semi are productive in practice and in games they will get plenty of burn.

Starting TT also allows K the luxury of keeping QC to lead the back ups for stretches and allows TT to lead the starters if QC is having an off night or is in foul trouble.
 
Such a heady player on D. However, I am not sure if he can cut down on the fouls due to his general aggressiveness/effort.
 
I'm not sure cutting down his fouls is necessary. It's the type of foul. If he's busted for hand checking all over the back court, then that's stupid. But if he is keeping Wiggins out of his favorite spots, or rattling Julius Randle, whatev.

8.6% usage, 7.1% shot.

We MUST find more offense by playing Sheed more. Thornton is single handedly ruining what would otherwise be an elite offense.

Gassaway's tweet will be read as a bad thing. In reality, he makes every shot he takes.
 
Great game vs. the Pack - 6 points (2/2 on 3s), 4 steals, 3 assists, 3 boards. He played nails tough.

I suppose if you're used to attending games in the Nose Dome, loud, raucous behavior would seem out of place.
 
He only made one mistake today (that ticky tack foul that led to 0/2 from the line for FSU) as far as I can tell. The open three and the steals made up for it.
 
This is a great game for Tyler, he played his pit bull role and looked like a ballerina with the way bodies were bashing into one another out there.
