Player Jabari Parker

For some reason BYU scares me more than MSU. I've heard he's "very" committed to his faith. Idk how far they will take that but its out there.

Before I post anything about Jabari, can someone definitively assure me that he is NOT visiting/posting on this board or using our opinions as factors for his decision?

ETA that "assure" is being edited as a bad word

rhymes with azure

farmer -- you know that you can set your account to no longer filter profanity (or, apparently, words that might contain profane 3 letter sequences), right?

Yes, but have yet to make the effort, just thought it was funny

Florida worries me here.

They should. Billy D is one helluva recruiter. With a resume both in terms of college accomplishments and NBA alum success to match.

Imagine Billy D with Jabari and Julius. :o

Fool this guy into believing he can play SF/PF at Duke and then chain him to the post at center.

What's he going to do? Transfer, sit out his sophomore year, and play as a junior somewhere else? lol

Duke could lose any chance of getting Jabari Parker due to a LDS Church rule change that has reduced missionary age requirements.

First and foremost, the top recruit in the Class of 2013 is Jabari Parker, who is Mormon. His father told ESPN.com on Monday that he has yet to decide whether or not he plans on going on a mission, but the change in the age-requirement puts a potential collegiate season for Parker in jeopardy. To enter the NBA draft, the only requirement is that the player be at least a year removed from high school; it says nothing about what they have to spend that year doing. Going on a Mormon mission and entering the NBA draft is just as valid an option as spending a year playing basketball at BYU, or any other school in the country.

Come to Duke and follow the Matt Christensen pathway.

I was thinking more along the lines of convincing him he can play SG and then make him play PF, but your scenario works too.
