Player Jahlil Okafor

Was Hansbrough a top 10 pick?
No, I don't believe he was. He was in the 11-14 range, I think.

*Don't know why I didn't bother to look it up before originally posting, but Hansbrough was picked #13 by the Pacers in 2009.

The only positive from the Furman game is that his field goal percentage and scoring average got a boost.

Amile has named him Jahzilla. I like it.

Cool. Wasn't aware of the Blacks/Reptiles or Blacks/Created by Nukes memes. Makes sense though, will file away.

But didn't Godzilla have short arms and small, T-Rex hands?

Jahlil will 'show out' in the Badgers game.

You can see Okafor's hog.

He is probably the most skilled offensive center in the world besides Al Jefferson. Still, I expect more. What an asshole I must be.

Is it too much to ask for him to be what he is plus Anthony Davis on defense and Kevin Love on the glass?

Oak, Winslow and Jefferson will be shooting and missing a ton of FT. It is worrisome,

We are 2008 Memphis.

I'm more concerned for Oak's long term viability as an NBA player than I am for Duke, especially if he is also going to continue to go to the line so infrequently. Out of 37 college players with 100+ two-point attempts on the season, he is tied for 30th in FTAs.

But 50% is not going to cut it at the next level unless he plans on being the next Wilt or Shaq.

Anyway, 9 games in, still a possible SSS issue.

He has only left about 3 points at the line for the season if we assume a reasonable FT% based on his high school stats. He always projected as a high 50s FT shooter. It's going to continue like this unless Mason Plumlee and Eric Snow tell Okafor their secrets. The closing lineup in intentional foul situations should be fine. Tyus, Cook, Sulaimon, Plumlee and a forward who sucks at making FTs but is a versatile defender and rebounder. Could be either Winslow or Jefferson.

50% is also ok in the NBA if you're Dwight Howard.

I think Towns will pass him for the #1 pick. Decent FT shooter with high offensive ceiling, monster defender. I'm not sure the choice will even be that close by the time everyone has gotten a chance to scrutinize the two of them.
