This team play on match-up. Paolo size worked for us down low so they really kept going to him until they showed they could defend it. That actually was the plan, attack the paint that's what all the guys did

I love him

I want to love him but he has some of the worst misses I've ever seen from a "good" shooter. Gives me some Reddish flashbacks. Still, he is a big strong man with balls of steel so I think this board will grow to worship him.

I opened this thread to vote “VT wins” only to see that apparently I voted “Duke by 10+” some time previously. This tracks. I typically get much more pessimistic as game time approaches.

Perimeter defense was a actually really good against these dorks. Outside of the two starting bigs, VT was just 8-27 for 20 points.

Somehow our defense fell. I'm not sure I understand it. VT was projected to score 65 and did score 65. Did VT somehow force us to play even slower than they usually do? They're already near the bottom in pace.
