College football (non-Duke)

I've been as anti Notre Dame as someone can be, but at this point, they've earned that ranking.

Now I'm hoping for an Alabama/Notre Dame title game with 'Bama winning by 60.

Yeah, ND has 4 wins vs top 20 teams

Oregon has zero (2 wins vs 20-25)
Your calculating schedule strength the wrong way here. Yes, ND has wins over 4 teams that were ranked in the top 20 when they played. Go check how good those teams actually are/were now.

Again, I'm not claiming that Oregon has some stud schedule either, but they've trashed the mediocre teams they've played, whereas ND has struggled with a number of them. I don't really know what my own top 5 would look like, but it'd probably have a few more SEC teams in it because I just think it's a vastly superior football conference...but I know you can't really run the rankings this way. Team like Oregon and ND that win all the games in front of them have, to a certain extent, earned their high rankings, especially because they haven't played pure cupcakes. My point is that I think Oregon deserves a higher ranking than ND.

...oh, I agree that 'Bama would crush ND in the BCS title game. Part of the reason I'm hoping another team gets that bid besides ND.

Bama will crush just about everyone in that game.

IMO, Notre Dame is the best outfitted team to handle their speed and strength. That said, I have less than zero faith in Golson to handle that defense.

This writer pegs Gene Chizik to perfection.

What was the inside job that got him hired at Auburn again? Same kind of deal as the Wake hoops coach?

I could see Oregon's offense keeping Alabama on their toes more than ND's.

- LSU has 2 weeks to prepare for Alabama.
- LSU wants to avenge last year's humiliating defeat in the BCS NC game in New Orleans.
- It will be a night game in Tigers Stadium.

If LSU doesn't beat Alabama this year, then I don't think anyone will.

"Death Valley is a place where opponents dreams come to die.” I hope The Mad Hatter's words ring true after November 3rd.

This year's national championship game:

1-loss SEC champion LSU (only loss was on the road vs Florida, which they avenged in the SEC championship game)
vs
1-loss Alabama (only loss was on the road vs the SEC champion)

Undefeated Notre Dame, undefeated Big 12 champion KState and undefeated Pac-12 champion Oregon play in lesser BCS bowls.

I don't think this is all that unfair based on how much better the SEC is than everyone else.

Basically. Real buddy buddy with Athletic Director Jay Jacobs.

That's even more farfetched than basketball comparisons imo.

LSU is going to have to find some groove in the offense outside of the running game. Basically Mettenberger is going to have to play his best game of the season. The one thing that LSU has going for them is that this game is at home and they simply don't lose in Death Valley.

It sure sounds like the OBC was kidding around, especially since he was on the Dan Patrick show.

So I saw someone talk about this.

Is LSU beats Bama and wins out do we see Bama VS LSU again?

Also what if ND, KSU and Oregon are all unbeaten?

who would you put in the title game if these 4 are unbeaten

Alabama
Oregon
KSU
ND

I really think ND VS BAMA would bring in SOOO MUCH MONEY
Oregon VS BAMA SEC VS PAC 12 AGAIN I think BAMA ROLLS
KSU VS Bama have not seen KSU play once so I HAVE NO IDEA!

Johnny Football is so fucking entertaining to watch.

wow.

If Mizzou beat Florida at the Swamp, it would be the upset of the season BY FAR in the SEC.
