Had Shanghai hairy crab and duck blood soup tonight. Probably not the strangest thing I've eaten this week, but up there. Jellyfish is hard to grab with chopsticks.

Nice! Where at?

In Shanghai dkst. Been there for about a week, only a couple of days left.

Agreed Ben, need to choose wording carefully!

Also, spent one afternoon at a Chinese cooking school last week. We had to venture out to the wet market as a team with 30 rmb and negotiate all of our ingredients then come back to the school to make our dish. Ours was awesome but the chef spat it out.

Awesome. Had a chance to find a good ma la hot pot place yet?

Found some salmon steaks from the time when I bought some to grill. Decided to give salmon curry a shot, and I am rather pleased with it.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. $250 isn't nothing, but it's well worth it if this thing cooks everything you could ever want to cook any way you want.

That's the same concept that famous chain restaurants like Ruth's Chris have been using for decades. You will have to be equally precise in food prep.

But yeah, for $250 sign me up. You can pay $250 for a Toaster oven.

drinking my way through asheville

hot fuck i love quality ber

There were just sooo many good places to go. Thirsty Monk had nearly every belgian I'd ever wanted.

Chipotle is just a delightful place right now with the E. Coli hysteria. I went to the one at Southpoint last night for a burrito bowl and it was basically empty at rush time. Amazing.

I think I've said it before, but Sheetz might be capitalism's greatest achievement.

In direct contradiction to the post above:

I wish there was something to eat besides deep-fried poison after 10 pm. One of the many reasons I wish I lived in a major city. As enjoyable as Cook Out and Sheetz and McDonalds can be, you don't always want to put that in your body.

They have salads! :P

The idea of eating a McDonald's salad is disgusting to me. I might try it at Sheetz.

Does Mac N Cheese have good reheat value? I hope so. I just made 4 boxes.
