Dogfish Head Beer to Drink Music to '17 is exactly what it's supposed to be. Less tart than a gose but same idea, smoother. 6.8% but you can't tell.

Saw a thing on tv about Asian-style hot dogs - dogs topped with Asian slaw in ginger dressing and lo mein noodles. Tried it at home with beer brats and added sriracha on top. Was actually pretty damned good.

Also: heads up - The brats from Aldi were really good.

I just put a 1/6 barrel of Sierra Nevada Otra Vez in the kegerator awaiting warm weather. It is so delicious.

Jesus, I would have given you a five beers from a six pack of that if I'd known you like that kind. Christ I hate that beer.

Had a taste of Saranac S'mores Porter at Bottle 501 last night. You would have liked it. It was disgusting. Smelled like a s'more though.

Btw, I love Bottle 501. Very nice people and good selection on tap (and to take home)

anyone have any experience with or opinions on global santoku chef knives?

I like how you built suspense in that last sentence with the period before "For free". Strong.

have we reached a saturation point on people telling us how cool durham is?

Hitting up the Wilmington Brewery Showcase tomorrow night. All of the local breweries in one spot with new and existing beers.

Knife Chat: This is an inexpensive but very good knife: https://www.amazon.com/Victorinox-Fibro ... Victorinox. They go on sale relatively often for $30, and it's definitely worth it.

Alcohol Chat: Jade IPA by foothills is delicious and potent. It's a smooth and easy drinking IPA. It compares to the Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin, but it's smoother. Even people who generally don't like IPA's like this beer. http://www.foothillsbrewing.com/brews/jade-ipa/

Jade IPA is awesome. Also, Foothills is generally awesome.

I drank a Duffs, a Dragon Scale and a Hog's Head Brew and a Butterbeer today. To learn more, check out my post in the travel thread!

Just about anything from Boulevard Brewing. I want to visit very badly, but, unfortunately, it's in Kansas City and I can think of minimal reason to go there.

I really appreciate Hardees/Carl's Jr's no-bullshit approach to fast food.

Carl's Jr. Introduces MASSIVE Boneless Baby Back Rib Sandwich

The new Baby Back Rib Burger boasts a charbroiled beef patty, crispy onions, pickles, and de-boned baby back ribs slathered in Cattleman's Original BBQ Sauce, all served between two brioche-style buns, Brand Eating reports.

Because McDonald's McRib isn't technically a boneless rib (more like a rib meat patty), Carl's Jr. and Hardee's are set to become the first major fast food chain to offer boneless rib meat on their menus. BBQ lovers can rejoice now that they'll be able to roll into a drive-thru and get their rib fix within minutes.

The inventor of those boneless ribs was on Shark Tank and is making millions to license the IP to those restaurants. Probably taste pretty good. I'd rather throw some ribs in the Instant Pot for 20 minutes and eat them on the bone.
