I am not Vegan but those ingredients sound like they would be good combined into a delicious Twinkie.

My wife, Mrs. Rh, is wise and talented. She actually found a vegan Duncan Hines box mix at the local Harris Teeter, which is a fantastic grocer BTW (I digress), and made the "twinkie" cake with the mix. She then found a commercial vegan filling product, and injected the filling into the cakes. It's fantastic, and I am so proud of Mrs. Rh.

Oh... I thought you made them for her.

Does anyone else refer to Harris Teeter as "The Teets"?

lol

It's great for the subs. Should have my free sub in a week or two.

Yeah the common ones are Hairy Peter, The Teet or The Teeter.

So, I'm kind of a coffee snob. I have my favorite origins and even have my favorite roasters that I order from. Ran out of the good shit, and a little tight on cash as the holidays approach. Go in to Trader Joe's to do some Thanksgiving shopping. On a lark, I pick up a can of whole bean Bali. Holy shit it's good, like really good. The roast is lighter than I would usually get, but the aroma and flavor is fantastic.

I do like Balinese single origin coffees, so I'm not surprised that a coffee from Bali is good, just that a coffee from a discount grocery store is good. Really good and cheap. Plus, the tin is a resealable keeper, win win.

Had a great lunch of tongue tacos and chorizo quesadilla at the food truck down the street yesterday.

I almost passed out when they had a yelp review page. These 2 women don't even speak a word of English...

Speaking of chorizo, this breakfast item at a local cafe was probably the best thing that ever happened to me:

Huevos Con Chorizo
Beef chorizo sausage cooked into two scrambled eggs and served with beans and flour tortillas.

Cali style Chorizo breakfast B, but they should have given you corn tortillas for the full effect.

Farmer how do you grind and brew your beans? We have an automatic espresso machine here which is awesome, but takes all the "art" out of making it. You just dump them in and press a button.

I have a bean grinder. I have tried every coffee method there is, percolator, french press, cotton filters filled with coffee beans in a pot of boiling water. Now I just use a Mr. Coffee, but I grind my beans to a pretty fine grind because I like a murky cup of coffee.

I honestly prefer drip coffee to espresso, but that machine looks really tight!
