So, folks are saying great things about 'Taken 2' I hear :)

Liam Neeson has no shame. He's also a terrible actor. Bad, bad movie.

'The Grey' was kind of bad too.

It could have been the same movie, just substitute Albanians for wolves. I doubt you'll ever see the term "versatile actor" attached to Liam Neeson's name.

The first one had that great "I have a particular set of skills" line that immortalized it. T2 has no catchy lines. It's chock full of bad acting and terrible dialog. I think it would work well as a cult film, where you smoke lots of dope and giggle incessantly throughout. It's that kind of bad.

About bad movies. The thing about bad movies like Taken, if you keep your expectations low, and just look at it from an entertainment aspect, it is entertaining. Completely implausible, but entertaining nonetheless.

Most of you guys are really, really into movies, and are looking for art or something substantive. Sometimes you just have to let your hair down and appreciate the 300's and Point Breaks (and every Stallone film for that matter) of the cinema world for what they are.

I went through my Tampopo, Eating Raoul phase, and yeah I miss a truly great movie discussion because I'm too old to be groovy and I live in a cultural wasteland, so I'm happy to be entertained at this point.

Sinister looks great. I'm hoping for an Insidious feel to it.

I love the Paranormal series but the previews for '4' just don't look as promising as the first 3. It doesn't look they are going to be building off of the Witch stuff that was so great at the end of 3

Taken 2 was absolute horse shit, don't go watch that. Looper on the other hand is worth a watch, just try not to get wrapped up in the time line stuff because they kind of mix the two theories of time travel together.

I am really looking forward to Skyfall, Sinister, and Argo. I will for sure go watch A Good Day to Die Hard, but I am a huge Die Hard fan so yeah.

Lol, I guess you guys will just have to see the movie, to understand the kind of bad it is. I liked the Expendables. Hell, I loved "Machete". The thing is, those movies are mindless entertainment, but Taken 2 isn't, because they left out the "entertainment" part.
