Politics

These two polls from WaPo and CNN are interesting:

-29% of Dem voters disapprove of Kamala Harris as VP.
- 24% of GOP voters voting because they oppose Biden (down from 54% opposing Clinton)
-10% are less likely to vote for Biden because of Kamala (CNN was 16%). McCains choice of Palin was the only one higher here in recent years.
-86% enthusiastic about supporting Trump. Slightly up from 83% same time in '16.
-20% of respondents aren't following the election closely. That number was 3% in 2016 at this time. People are sick of politics. People sick of politics stay home so this doesn't bode well for voter turnout.
Sample size:
521 Democrats
415 Republicans

Landline respondents: 386
Cell phone respondents: 722

-499 respondents said they were voting for Biden with 92% saying they would not change.
-452 respondents said they were voting for Trump with 87% saying they would not change.
-But 58% of the Biden respondents said they weren't voting for Biden, they were voting against Trump.
-Only 29% of the Trump respondents said they were voting against Biden.
-Traditionally, campaigns only count on around 55% of these folks to actually cast a ballot. In 2012, only 18% of Obama respondents said they were voting against Romney and 38% of Romney respondents said they were voting against Obama.
-In 2004, 55% of Kerry voters said that their vote was against Bush, not for Kerry.

-1 out of 7 people said the coronavirus isn't that important.
-Less than 1% said the economy isn't that important
-Voters saying Immigration is more important than they did in 2016
-1 out of 3 said climate change isn't important at all.

Would you say you are extremely enthusiastic about voting for your candidate in 2020?

53% YES for Trump
26% in October, 2016.

31% of Dems think Kamala was a POOR choice.

15% thought that of Tim Kaine
26% of Sarah Palin
7% of Liberman in 2000.

16% of them said they were less likely to vote for Biden because of Harris.

8% Kaine
20% Palin (this killed McCain chances)
4% Lieberman

38% say Kamala is not qualified to be president. Only Palin at 56% and 1992 Dan Quayle at 62% were higher. Both losers. The highest winner was Biden at 19%.

33% of People of Color responded that they would be voting for Trump.
87% of them said they would not change their mind.

This reinforces that Kamala was a terrible pick for Biden.

Correct. In both polls, she averaged out at 30% unfavorable among Democrats. It's a disaster pick which could be one of the rare VP selections which actually hurts the ticket to the point where it is noticeable in voting.

Bashing Michelle for taping her video early by mentioning the "wrong deaths" is fucking hysterical. What a goddamn moron.

Oh and the rubber/glue "in over his head" retort reminds one of "No puppet. Np puppet. You're the puppet" from 2016.

Trump pardons Susan B. Anthony who declined to be pardoned for voting in 1872 as pardons admit guilt and she wore her conviction with pride.

"She absolutely would not have wanted the pardon," said Deborah Hughes, the president and CEO of the National Susan B. Anthony Museum and House in Rochester, New York, where on Tuesday the news of Trump's pardon was met with surprise.

"Absolutely not," said Ann Gordon, a former Rutgers University professor who edited an extensive collection, "The Selected Papers of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony." "When you're asking for a pardon, you're saying, I did something wrong."

"I actually asked the other day and they were talking about Susan B. Anthony, and she did that for other people and she didn't want herself included. She wasn't included in the pardon from many years ago," he said during a stop in Arizona.
"Why can't we pardon her?" Trump said he asked his aides. "They said that's the coolest idea I've ever heard. And it's been very, very popular."

He even says she didn't want one.

More reasons to believe mail-in voting corruption will be a wash between the two parties, as long as the split gets closer to 55/45 D/R than what it was looking like before the USPS started doing totally inconspicuous things, like 75/25 D/R.
