College Basketball Recruiting

The OAD rule is an NBA rule. However, i'm wondering if the NCAA could require schools to honor scholarships for four years, even if a player leaves? That would effectively limit schools to recruiting maybe one OAD a year. It would also hurt schools who lose any early entrant, though. Not sure if it would hold up in court either.

Regardless I don't think it's about that.

Again, just guessing here, the only major "recruiting news" worthy of being "seismic" in regards to coaches would be if Coach K just decided to retire, or if Calipari is stepping down to do something in the NBA. Neither of these really make sense given the timing, so I don't think it is either one. They are both dominating recruiting right now- so as far as coaches go I think those would be it. I don't think Fraschilla would be hyping this up if it was about an assistant coach, even one as elite as Capel.

The two most logical things IMO are a school is getting in trouble recruiting wise, again it would be Duke or UK IMO considering both dominate recruiting thus making it "seismic", or, a rules change which has a huge impact and completely changes the recruiting game from the last few years.

That was mentioned by some on other sports sites because of Fran's connection to international hoops, but I don't get why Doncic wouldn't just stay in the Euro-leagues for a few more months as a paid pro. Isn't only the euros that need exposure that come to the US colleges?
