Fuck yeah. I remember Cutcliffe’s extensions were usually signed in the off-season, so I’d been holding out hope one would get done for Elko too. Hope this helps keep him here long-term.

It's a big deal if there's a big buyout. Good job by Nina doing this after one season, though. I assumed we'd do the "normal" thing and wait another season, which would probably be too late.

I still think he’ll be here a while provided the synergy with the admin remains strong. It also feels like we are prepared to do what it takes to keep him and his staff happy financially. A big change from the Cut era when all our good assistants left for bigger paydays and we wound up with a 28 year old DC and a special teams coach at OC.
