The 7th season is cancelled. As of the moment, they are still planning on releasing the 6th season next year.

I stopped True Blood with about 1.5 seasons of it left. You can always stop. It's so liberating when you do

I stopped True Blood in Season 4. I'm not even sure how many seasons they had overall.

I watched every season of True Blood but the last one. I probably would've been better off just watching the opening and the sex scenes, aka "the good parts".
